Learn more about the Littleton Housing Task Force
As part of the Envision Littleton Comprehensive Plan (Comp. Plan) the Housing Task Force is made up of community members, business owners, and industry professionals to address the city’s housing needs and concerns identified in the plan. South Metro Housing Options is also a part of this group providing our support and knowledge to the cause and the future of our city.
The Envision Littleton Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted by the City of Littleton on October 15, 2019, is meant to guide future development, redevelopment, and community enhancement efforts over the next 20 years through 2040. It serves as a framework for thoughtful community discussion on the real and perceived challenges currently facing Littleton, and opportunities that will shape its future. This plan will take our community to a new level in terms of livability and tangible accomplishments.
Action H&N 2 of the Comp. Plan states, “Convene a Housing Advisory Committee, comprised of residents, real estate and development professionals, and South Metro Housing Options (SMHO) representatives, to focus on the details and logistics of implementing the 2017 Housing Study recommendations, focusing first on the 1-2 year action steps recommended in the study and incorporating the City’s anticipated Economic Impact Model in 2020.”
One of the big areas of concern is housing and what it will look like in Littleton over the next two decades. The Housing Task Force meets monthly to continue the discussions and hard work of addressing the city’s housing needs.
