Housing Options
Housing Options
Most SMHO properties are subsidized, meaning each household pays a “fair share” rent (about 30-40% of the entire household income, as established by HUD).
How do I apply?
Those interested in applying for housing with SMHO, you may do so only when waitlists open, or they may apply for a unit at Powers Circle. Initially applicants will be asked to complete a preliminary application. Once your name approaches the top of the waiting list, you will be asked to provide additional information and documentation.
Each SMHO property has a separate waiting list, with completed applications kept on file by date of application and preference (if applicable). Annual updates are sent to all waiting list applicants and a response is required to maintain a spot on those lists.
You may check your waitlist status at anytime HERE, and update your information, which needs to be current at all times.
Please note that SMHO has no transitional or emergency housing.
It is the policy of South Metro Housing Options (SMHO) to comply fully with all federal, state and local nondiscrimination laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) regulations governing Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
All SMHO properties are smoke-free.
