About Us
Since 1971, the Littleton Housing Authority dba South Metro Housing Options (SMHO) been serving the affordable housing needs of Littleton and Arapahoe County, making us the second oldest housing authority in the state of Colorado. SMHO owns and operates six affordable housing communities in Littleton, conveniently located near shops, services, and public transportation.
SMHO is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners and is designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The agency partners closely with the City of Littleton, serving as a leader in affordable housing and supporting community building initiatives.

Resident Services
To support our residents, SMHO offers comprehensive Resident Services programs. This includes coordinating community partnerships, resources, activities, and personalized case management to address residents’ physical, emotional, and financial well-being. Our services go beyond traditional housing support, empowering residents to navigate life’s challenges with viable options and solutions.
