A Look at what the IHO Means
In response to the current housing emergency our state and city is currently experiencing, the City of Littleton has enacted a city-wide Inclusionary Housing Ordinance to stimulate the development of new affordable housing options in our community. We are in great need of more affordable housing options and the new housing ordinance shows quick action on behalf of the City Council.
So what does Inclusionary Housing actually look like? As the graph above shows, a portion of every residential development with five units or more must include affordably priced units (based on percentages of the local AMI), or the builder pays a fee-in-lieu, which is then used to provide or support more affordable units in Littleton.
